As editor-in-chief of Writer’s Digest, I turned a century-old magazine into a digital-first product aimed at a younger, more diverse audience. Today I serve as editor-at-large.

Our editorial strategy was to use every piece of the content buffalo. An interview with George Saunders could appear in print, run extended online, have special excerpts sold as sponsored content and be turned into engaging animations (right).

Authors like Jeff Vandermeer appeared in a print Q&A, an extended Q&A online, his pull-quotes were turned into shareable graphics for social media (left), he was a guest on the Writer’s Digest Podcast and was a keynote speaker at the Writer’s Digest Annual Conference.
